"My grandmother taught me. I am teaching my daughter. The baskets travel further than any of us ever will."

— Akosua Mensah, Bolgatanga

How we pick partners.

We only partner with worker-owned cooperatives — never factories, never broker arrangements. Each partner is vetted on five things: fair internal wages, safe working conditions, no child labor, transparent finances, and ecological materials sourcing.

We re-audit annually. If a partner can't pass, we walk away and we say why.
